So it’s been a long time since something fresh has come across this blog. We’ve been busy – wonderfully, exhaustingly, busy. Busy with this little blessing:
Miss Josephine Joy Bottorff made her appearance (3 weeks early) on October 23, 2014 at 1:33 in the afternoon. She was welcomed with overwhelming joy by her parents, grandparents (even her Grandpa K who was two days post-op from a total shoulder replacement), aunts, uncle, and a host of friends. I think the Bottorff-Winkelmeyer clan pretty much took over the Labor and Delivery waiting room on that Thursday morning, and I have to wonder if that room had ever hosted a happier group.
Josie is now 5 months old, 18+ pounds, 2’2″, sporting two teeth and beautiful blue eyes and not much hair. She is a fantastic sleeper and eater and is generally a happy baby, although teething sometimes throws a wrench in things.
Allyn and I hope to be more faithful to post our family’s milestones on this site as a way to preserve significant events and to point ourselves and our friends to our faithful Father who has surely increased our Joy.
Thanks for checking in on us!
